Everything here is bigger than you.

Feet stomp. A robot vacuum hunts the floor. Pigeons patrol the market and rain turns the cobbles into a flood. A red ring on the ground means move.

Co-op

Feed the colony before winter.

Missions come from the nest: deliver food, dodge the humans, get on the roof. Day turns to night, the sellers go on lunch break, feast hour fills the stalls, and the rain comes.

  • Play a Worker, a Soldier or a Scout, each with its own speed, health and nose for food
  • Grow the colony between rounds: tunnels, jaws, antennae, shell, nursery
  • Red ants raid your food; your own worker ants help carry it
  • Sniff finds food nearby, Burst is a dash, Camouflage hides you from human eyes

Teams, the house

Teams

Teams of two. One golden crumb.

The golden crumbs are hidden in the hardest places on the map. Find one, carry it home and hold on to it. Or break it in half and run.

  • Grab a rival, strike them away, tear off a leg or an antenna
  • Power-ups on the floor: sugar, coffee, a nut shell, honey
  • Best of three. Squashed means out until the next round
  • Bots fill every empty place, at the level of the people playing

Three places to raid.

Each one is built at ant scale: a table leg is a tower, a dropped apple is a hill, and the people who live there are not pleased to see you.

Indoors, somebody's home

The house

A cat, a robot vacuum and a kid who wants a pet ant

Knock something over on one side of the house and the grown-up goes to look: that's your window on the other side. The phone rings, the doorbell too. Halfway through, the cat wakes up.

Kitchen crumbs, the fruit bowl, whatever fell off the counter.
Watch out for
Feet, the vacuum, pesticide powder, and an upturned glass you can't get out of alone.

Indoors, a shop

The bakery

Sugar everywhere, and bakers who have had enough

The counters are the stalls and the bakers guard them. No sky, no rain, no pigeons: just bread, cakes and croissants, and people who lose their temper the second they notice you.

Outdoors, under the sky

The market

Crowded, loud, full of food

Stalls, sellers and buyers, and pigeons on the cobbles. The sellers go on lunch break, feast hour fills the stalls, and when the rain comes the humans run for cover while the puddles slow you down.

Sellers who guard their stalls, buyers who wander, pigeons who don't care.
Worth stealing
Apples, cheese, whatever the stalls are piled with.
Watch out for
Sticky traps, bug spray, boots on the cobbles, and rain that can wash you away.

Alone or together

Quick Match finds a game of your mode and starts one with bots if nobody is around. Host with a code, or join over the LAN.

Drop out, come back

Lose the connection mid-round and your ant keeps playing as a bot for a minute. Rejoin and it's yours again.

Gamepad or keyboard

Every key can be changed in the settings; the HUD shows the keys you chose, or the pad's buttons.

Your ant, your look

The Wardrobe dresses your ant from head to mandibles, with a nest flag, a victory pose and four emotes on the wheel.

Four languages

English, Azerbaijani, Turkish and Russian, in the game and in its menus.

Steam lobbies already work in our playtests. The store page comes when the game is ready for it.

When does ANTIGA come out?

It's in development and playtest builds go out to the playtest list. We'll put a date here when we have one we believe in.

Which platforms?

Windows and macOS. The Steam page link goes on this page the day it's live.

Can I play on my own?

Yes. In Teams the bots fill every empty place and play at your level; in Co-op your own colony's worker ants carry food with you.

How do I get into a playtest?
